Lt General SP Goswami takes over as Director General, Army Air Defence

Lt General SP Goswami took over as Director General, Army Air Defence (DGAAD) on July 1, 2021 from Lt General AP Singh who has superannuated. The officer was commissioned into the Corps of AAD on June 9, 1984. Lt Gen Goswami has commanded a missile unit, a strike corps AD brigade and was MG AD at HQ South Western Command. He has attended the Higher Defence Management Course and the Advance Professional Programme in Public Administration. He has also served in the Indian Army Training Team at Botswana. Before taking over as DG, AAD he was ADG in the Directorate of AAD.
